Welcome to A Clowder of Cats in THE JOY FOREST COZY MYSTERY SERIES – a world of eccentric small-town people and small town strange events. It’s a near-future world with robots and flying cars and a whole lot of mystery. People – or creatures! – go missing, a community gets involved – mysteries must be solved! 

Evanora Montana, a violet-eyed sorceress, begs Joy to help her find her beloved cat, Booji. Joy refuses, but  Evanora finally convinces  Joy to look for her “little Booji.” Embarking on the search for Booji with her ever-faithful robot cat, Robbie, they succeed in finding several cats…

But! No Booji.

What to do with all these cats?!? 

Not to worry, they all find homes. But where is Booji?

Beautiful Lizard-whole body

Look at this amazing creature I encountered last Wednesday morning on some old wood.

Look at his eye contact!

When I saw him I scurried inside to grab my iPad, hoping he’d still be there when I returned.

Not only was he still there, but he didn’t move a muscle as I took pictures at a distance, and crept ever closer. I finally got down on his level, inches away, and communed with him for half-an-hour.

But, eventually, I had to get on with my day – Gary-the-Tractor-Repair-Man was soon returning my tractor, and I had things I must do.

I hope, as I share this creature’s intelligent, amazing being, that you share with me, too, the wonder of all living creatures. Though they may be different from ourselves, they are still thinking and feeling – deserving of enjoying their life to the fullest, whatever that expression of existence may be!
